The Data Fellows Program supports city government agencies to use data more effectively and provides a growth environment for data analysts who are earlier in their careers in local government.

Started in October 2019, with 2 OPI data fellows, the program has expanded to 6 data fellows in 5 agencies across the city, totaling 16 fellowship rounds with 8 fellows graduating into other roles in city government.

Currently, there are 2 fellows who are employees of OPI and who support projects in other agencies. In addition, the program provides support to additional fellows who are employees of different agencies.
