Ryan is currently serving as a Data Fellow and is excited to use data to support the city's agencies. Born in Bethesda, but grew up in San Diego, he received a B.S. in Applied Math from University of California, San Diego (UCSD). After graduating, he worked as a Retirement Specialist at Aon where he calculated and administered pension benefits for various clients. Ryan developed an aptitude for data through coursework and projects like MLB pitcher analysis or a book recommendation system leading to his current role.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys the outdoors by hiking and has a passion for music through playing instruments like the cello, drums, guitar, GarageBand, or attending live concerts.
