Dan is originally from Massachusetts, where he received an MS in Urban Informatics from Northeastern University. He brings experience working with historically underserved communities, including helping new Bostonians navigate complex bureaucracies at an immigration welcome center, partnering with a local community development corporation to document the impacts of neighborhood change, and supporting the needs of the LGBTQ+ community.
These experiences inform his focus on ensuring that city services are designed in ways that enable everyone to benefit and actively participate in their communities. In his role as a Data Fellow, he has worked with the Baltimore City Fire Department, as well as hospitals and other agencies, to improve Emergency Medical Services operations.
